A Smarter Approach to Annual Unit Inspections
Helping property managers complete a critical annual responsibility without increasing their internal staffing.
With limited internal staff available to complete Annual Unit Inspections, property owners and managers rely on RPM to handle the fieldwork efficiently and consistently. After the client issues the required tenant notices, RPM coordinates the inspection schedule and deploys trained technicians to approximately 2,300 units each year. Every unit is attended, with access issues including tenant requests or loose animals carefully documented for follow-up.
Inside each accessible unit, RPM technicians systematically complete the inspection checklist, assess the unit’s general condition and examine life-safety devices for damage, expiry or removal. Approximately 9% of the devices checked typically require attention, although this varies from year to year. Deficiencies are documented and addressed as authorized, while units showing signs of disrepair are flagged for further review.
A detailed inspection report is provided to the client and archived for future reference.
The result is a reliable inspection record that supports the owner’s compliance responsibilities and helps provide safer, properly maintained homes for residents.
